Wood type is great, but usually hard to use on the web. Wood Type Revival is a website that makes it a lot easier. Started as a Kickstarter project, it aims to digitize 10 rare wood type fonts and make them available on typekit and for download. Five fonts are available now and three more are coming soon. All are definitely display fonts and have limited character sets, but they are offered in two versions — a clean redraw of the face and a distressed version which reproduces the scratches and texture of the printed type.

I love these screen printed posters by Family Tree Design. There is the Monster Friends series and the Japanimals series.
Monster Friends come in eight different monster designs with two color options for the first set and a glow in the dark option for the second set. The illustrations are really cute and well done and the lettering is beautiful too. I love the expression of the Yeti and the cuteness of the Loch Ness Monster, and of course the Phoenix bird and Chupacabra have some local appeal.
The Japanimals set includes a snow monkey, koi fish, a fox and a white tiger.

For my first post as a new eeko studio intern, I’m sharing this site of prints and T-shirts from Pop Chart Lab. They do infographics charting all kinds of interesting stuff, from superpowers and videogame controllers, to rap names and types of beer. The posters look great and are really entertaining to read in detail.
