On Earth Day eve at 5pm Marc Chung approached me about his passion project. Goal: To update you on what air advisories there are for the day, as this is not currently easily accessible. And it should be. Simple idea. Simple solution.

Make it easy. No. Make it stupid easy.

So launched airstat.us. A site that pulls data from each city’s air advisory department and tells you if you can burn or not. And to help support the cause, since we have a little soft spot for all things earthy as well as for our Asian brethren, we quickly created the airstat.us logo, Marc worked his magic coding fingers and got the thing up and running. Just in time for Earth Day. Other cities continue to be added and the code is open for all to use.
